R.O.T.U. World began hosting its own shows in 2014, a year later following the release of Marcus Orelias's debut album Rebel of the Underground. Venues opposed booking a smaller act at the time so Buriel Clay Theatre was rented out and performed in almost selling out. Since the success of BCT, R.O.T.U. World has adopted the current mentality of excusing performances at major venues and just "throwing our own shows" creating more personal atmospheres and experiences a like.
